Importance of Yoga and Ayurveda in healthy life

Ayurveda is a part of medical science that advocates holistic health. Rare herbs, flowers, leafs and fruits are used as medicines, mixed at a particular ratio as the script follows. According to the principles of Ayurveda, imbalance of any vata, pitta and kapha (cough) causes disease.

The word Ayurveda is derived from, joining two words 'Ayu' and 'veda'. Ayu means life according to Indian language sanskrit and Veda is the knowledge relating life. That means Ayurveda is the science of life. It is a big concept that deals spirituality and myth in modern life.



The most ancient science Ayurveda, is the thousand years research of Indian saints. Ayurvedic treatment methods include Yoga, Pranayama, Medication, Gems, Herbs, Diet, Astrology, color and surgery. It is seen where chemicals and other modern drugs have failed Ayurveda has kept the ball in his court. Ayurveda suggests you a naturally healthy living. A life of discipline including spiritual, mental and social health. In modern days also Ayurveda has its own importance across the globe. People who are tired of modern treatments and have found no results are migrating towards India, home of Ayurveda.

Yoga is our daily practice, in our daily life we go through many postures but we need proper training to get its benefits. Yogasana is the combination of yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation. There are countless benefits of yoga. It reduces stress, refreshes mind and effective for diabetes, weight loss and many more critical diseases.

'Prana' is the universal life force called 'soul' in English language and is the vital energy needed to run our physical body. 'ayama' suggests its regulating process or control power and 'Pranayama' means the control of prana through the breath. It is a practice conducted on breathing through nostrils. There are thousands of energy channels (nadis) and energy centers (chakras) in our body through which prana flows. One's state of mind is controlled by controlling quality and quantity of prana. It leads you towards a discipline life free from anger, stress and anxiety.

Number of foreigners come Goa to learn yoga and pranayama. Many yoga workshops, yoga teacher training, yoga teacher training camps and events are being organized here by different yoga centers.
